Nii Lante Vandapuye takes over as Nat’l Coordinator for DRIP

Former Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo Constituency Edwin Nii Lante Vandapuye has officially assumed office as the National Coordinator for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).

The former Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Government takes over from Collins Ntim.

At a short ceremony held on Wednesday, February 19, Nii Lante Vandapuye was handed documents to symbolize his official assumption of office.

Mr Ntim took him through the functions and activities of the DRIP under the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

He indicated that activities to improve road construction in the local communities across the country can be monitored at a go.

He said the deployment of the equipment for road improvement is across all metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies (MMDAs).

On his part, Nii Lante Vandapuye promised to continue the good works of his predecessor.

DRIP was launched on July 31, 2024 as part of the Akufo-Addo-led administration’s efforts to improve road infrastructure in local communities.
