We’ve seen this before with NAM1

Radio personality Blakk Rasta has drawn parallels between Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s extravagant birthday celebration and the rise and fall of embattled businessman Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1.
Speaking on his show, Blakk Rasta questioned the source of Quaye’s wealth, warning that Ghana has seen similar displays of opulence before—only for things to take a disastrous turn.
“We saw this before with NAM1, throwing money on the streets. Where is he now? His business collapsed. My brother, my sister, we have to ask questions. We have to know where this money is coming from,” he said.
Quaye’s birthday celebration, which allegedly lasted several days at Independence Square, featured international celebrities flown in for the occasion. While some defend his right to spend his money as he pleases, Blakk Rasta insists that in a country facing economic hardship, such displays must be scrutinized.
Beyond Quaye’s wealth, the outspoken musician also turned his attention to religious leaders, claiming that some churches are mere fronts for money laundering.
“Many so-called pastors in this country are not pastors; they are businesspeople using the church to clean dirty money. We must investigate all of them,” he declared.
Richard Nii Armah Quaye has yet to respond to the concerns raised, but Blakk Rasta is urging authorities to step in.
“The FIC must do its job. GRA, please step in. We want to know how people are making millions overnight in this country!” he charged.
