Family insists Daddy Lumba will be buried on December 13 despite ongoing controversies

The father of the late highlife legend Kwadwo Fosu, widely known as Daddy Lumba, has reaffirmed that his son will be buried on December 13, 2025, dismissing all claims of a postponement and calling for an end to what he describes as needless controversy.
The bereaved father expressed frustration over individuals he believes are fueling confusion surrounding the funeral arrangements in a video shared on X on December 6, 2025,
“It’s been almost five months since Kwadwo Fosu passed away. And Akosua Brempongmaa is the one causing people to insult us because she has aligned herself with Papa Shee, who is influencing her negatively.”
He stressed that the family has reached a unanimous decision on the burial date and that no one outside the family has the authority to alter it.
“It is time we give Lumba a befitting burial because where he is now, I know he is not happy. I want to use this opportunity to tell everyone that, whether they like it or not, we will bury him on December 13.
“The entire family has agreed to bury Lumba on December 13. All preparations are underway, so no one should pay attention to the controversies circulating. The final burial has not been postponed.”
The father reiterated that the December 13 burial date stands firm and cannot be rescheduled by any individual or group.
According to him, “the family has concluded” on the arrangements and “no one has the authority to reschedule the date,” emphasizing that all preparations are already in motion ahead of the final funeral rites.
