Where did the money come from?

Controversial media personality and reggae artist Blakk Rasta has raised concerns over the extravagant birthday party of businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye, questioning the source of his wealth and urging authorities to investigate.

Speaking on his Urban Blend show on 3FM monitored by MyNewsGh, Blakk Rasta expressed shock at the sheer scale of the celebration, comparing it to national events.

“My brother, my sister, not even when Ghana gained independence in 1957 did we see such a reckless display of wealth! Money was falling like a rainstorm!” he exclaimed.

The outspoken presenter drew parallels between this party and past events where individuals flaunted wealth only to later face legal troubles.

He mentioned that Ghana’s Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) stepping in to probe the businessman’s financial dealings was a necessary step.

“Should we not applaud the FIC for investigating? If you know your wealth is clean, then there’s nothing to hide. I am begging the GRA to step in and see if this man is paying his taxes right,” Blakk Rasta added.
