Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akim North, Andy Appiah-Kubi, has disclosed that Member of Parliament for Abetifi, Dr Bryan Acheampong, will contest for the presidential slot of the New Patriotic Party.
He holds the view that Dr Bryan Acheampong is the best bet for the New Patriotic Party because he has the academic capacity and the business acumen to lead Ghana.
Addressing the media, he explained that the Member of Parliament will, in the coming days, make his intentions known to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“The task on our hearts is to present a great candidate who can redeem our party, and Dr. Bryan Acheampong is preparing himself for that mission. He will speak for himself in due course, but I am only a messenger. From what I know, he is the one—and his work speaks volumes,” he said.
“If we are looking for a candidate with intellectual prowess, Bryan is the one. If we want a successful business mogul, he’s that too. So with him, we’re killing two birds with one stone… he is a symbol of victory,” he added.
To Andy Appiah Kubi, it is a known fact that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is the only political party that can develop Ghana.
