Why Sir Obama Pokuase was rearrested after meeting bail conditions – Moses Abor

The former Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Moses Abor, has disclosed that Mr. Daniel Adomako, popularly known on social media as Sir Obama Pokuase, was rearrested immediately after meeting his bail requirements.
Speaking on Asempa FM, as monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Abor explained that the incident came as a surprise since all legal procedures for Pokuase’s release had been completed.
“He had fulfilled every requirement for his bail, and we were at the court premises finalizing the paperwork for his release when suddenly we got a call from the Police Headquarters asking us to facilitate his arrest,” he revealed.
Abor added that just as the bail process was completed, an unexpected complaint was lodged, leading to Pokuase’s rearrest.
“It was shocking. Just as he was stepping out, someone appeared with a fresh complaint. That is what triggered the rearrest,” he said.
When pressed about the details of the new charge, Abor admitted that he had no clear information but suggested it may be linked to an old social media post.
“From what I gather, it could be related to a post he made in 2020 that authorities considered inflammatory. But beyond that, I don’t have the full details,” he stated.
Sir Obama Pokuase was initially arrested on Wednesday, August 13, as part of intelligence-led operations targeting individuals suspected of the illegal possession and public display of sophisticated weapons.
According to the Police, he is assisting with investigations into images and videos he allegedly circulated on social media showing persons brandishing high-grade arms.
