Without me, Trump would’ve lost – Elon Musk unleashes fury on US president

Elon Musk is turning up the political heat—and this time, his target is none other than U.S. President Donald Trump. In a fiery series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the tech billionaire claimed full credit for Trump’s 2024 election victory, sparking an all-out war of words.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election,” Musk wrote. “Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate.”

According to him, he handed Trump the keys to the White House, and now, he wants his flowers.

But what triggered this outburst?

At the center of the storm is Trump’s controversial “One Big Beautiful Bill”—a massive tax and spending package that Musk calls a “disgusting abomination.” He’s particularly outraged over cuts to electric vehicle incentives, while fossil fuel subsidies remain untouched.

“That bill is a complete sellout,” Musk fumed. “It punishes innovation while feeding the old guard.”

Trump, never one to back down, brushed off Musk’s claims. He suggested he would’ve won key states like Pennsylvania with or without Musk’s backing—and even threatened to yank federal contracts from Tesla and SpaceX.

According to Trump, Musk is simply suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Things didn’t end there. Musk took it up a notch, demanding Trump’s impeachment and accusing the President of sitting on sensitive information about the late Jeffrey Epstein.

“He knows what’s in those files,” Musk hinted ominously, though offering no proof.

Now, the billionaire is floating the idea of forming his own centrist political party, one he says would represent “the 80% in the middle.”
