You can’t invite me when we are mourning – Shatta Wale tells EOCO

The Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO, has invited musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, for questioning.
The musician’s car was seized by EOCO in June, as it is a subject of investigation because it has ties to one Nana Amuah, who has been caged in the United States for crimes.
Although EOCO raided his apartment in East Legon to retrieve the car, Shatta Wale agreed with the state institution that it would be a dent on his brand and pleaded that he was going to present the car to them himself; something he did.
However, a few days ago, the musician started ranting on social media about the June raid and forced EOCO’s executive director to release a statement detailing the ongoing investigation.
Shatta Wale, in a series of posts and a subsequent livestream, indicated that he surrendered the car because he was told that someone was shot in it in the States.
He explained that he does not know who shipped the car because he bought it as a third party legitimately. He mentioned that he was earlier told the investigation was about Adu-Boahene, but later was told that the car had a connection with one Nana Amuah, whom he does not know.
