You dey mad – Regina Daniels fires back at Angela Okorie over Mercy Johnson’s illness comment

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels didn’t hold back after fellow actress Angela Okorie made what many consider a condescending “forgiveness” post about Mercy Johnson’s alleged illness.

In a sharp and fiery clapback on social media, Regina wrote: “With all due respect, Aunty Angela, you dey mad.

“Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye.”

Her message came shortly after Angela Okorie, during an Instagram Live, claimed to have forgiven Mercy Johnson in light of Mercy’s reported health struggles.

Okorie also used the moment to call Mercy out, suggesting she should apologize to people she’s wronged and quit masking her behavior with what she termed “church words.”

Angela said: “I forgive Mercy Johnson but she also needs to seek forgiveness from those she’s hurt. Using church language that doesn’t reflect your real self isn’t the way.”

But Regina Daniels wasn’t having it. Her blunt response, filled with streetwise energy, seems to reflect the sentiment of many fans who believe Mercy Johnson deserves compassion, not public “forgiveness speeches.”

This exchange has since ignited social media with fans choosing sides—and some wondering if there’s more to the beef behind the scenes.
