You no get sense – Davido Blasts actress Sarah Martins over ‘5IVE Kitchen’ remarks

Afrobeats megastar Davido is not here for unsolicited suggestions — especially when it involves his wife, Chioma.

The singer has fired back at Nollywood actress Sarah Martins after she publicly weighed in on his recent promotional collaboration with The FoodCourt App for his 2025 album 5IVE.

What began as a seemingly harmless comment has now snowballed into a fiery social media exchange.

Sarah Martins, a self-proclaimed fan of the “Unavailable” hitmaker, sparked controversy when she suggested that the 5IVE Kitchen venture should have been named in honour of Davido’s wife, Chioma. In a post shared online, she wrote:

“This is coming from a place of LOVE because I am a huge fan of OBO.

I honestly feel Davido’s restaurant should have been opened for Chioma or probably in her name because we’ve always known her to be a passionate fantastic chef so I was really anticipating a day will come when Davido will happily announce Chioma’s (in her name) restaurant not Davido’s restaurant 🥹.

Again, this is not coming from a place of hate and I’m happy for them regardless of who owns the restaurant.

5ive star restaurant by chef chi would have made more sense and will still promote the 5ive star album by OBO because even satan loves Chioma.

Chioma I love you and please do not misunderstand this post🙏”

Sarah’s post was accompanied by Chioma’s photo, which seemed to strike a nerve with the singer.

Without mincing words, Davido clapped back, stating:

“U no get sense. no restaurant was opened that was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album 5️⃣.. now take my wife’s picture off page.”

The 5IVE Kitchen was unveiled as part of a promotional push for Davido’s new album, not a standalone restaurant venture — a clarification that the singer made crystal clear.

Despite Sarah’s insistence that her opinion came “from a place of love,” Davido clearly wasn’t impressed, especially with his wife being dragged into what he views as an unnecessary online debate.
