You were caught sneaking to guest houses – Yvonne Nelson dragged over high school past

Actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has come under fire from past students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School following comments she made about the institution during a recent interview.
In an appearance on Joy Prime, the outspoken actress recounted her experience at the Cape Coast-based school, describing it as less than ideal. “Aggrey wasn’t the best of places for me.
“I gave you examples about being scared of going to the class. The second thing is hygiene and the quality of food… the food was terrible,” Yvonne lamented. She also revealed that Aggrey Memorial had not been her first choice of school, but she had to manage it due to limited options at the time.
Her remarks, however, did not sit well with some former students of the school, who believe the actress is being ungrateful and disrespectful to the institution that helped shape her public profile.
One such former student, identified on Facebook as Daqua, lashed out at Yvonne in a scathing post on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
“Dear YVONNE NELSON, for those of us who know you very well, this is the last time we’ll take this from you. Take the school that gave you the exposure out of your mouth,” he wrote.
Daqua went on to make startling claims about Yvonne’s conduct during her time at Aggrey Memorial, accusing her of frequently sneaking out to guest houses with boys and getting caught.
“Maybe we should also talk about the numerous times you sneaked to the guest houses with guyz where you were caught and finally expelled from the boarding house,” he alleged.
While the actress has not responded to the accusations, the post has sparked debate online, with many calling for maturity and respect in discussing one’s alma mater—regardless of past experiences.
Meanwhile, other former students of Aggrey have also expressed their disapproval of Yvonne’s comments, suggesting that while no school is perfect, the platform should have been used to highlight progress or suggest improvements rather than tarnishing the school’s reputation.
