Your arrest can’t intimidate us—Dennis Miracles to Gov’t

The former communications manager for the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia campaign in 2024 has said that the intimidation will not stop the New Patriotic Party (NPP) from criticizing the government.

Some New Patriotic Party activists have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service and National Security.

Although they were bailed on August 13, 2025, they have yet to be released from police custody.

Speaking on Accra-based OKAY FM, Dennis Miracles Aboagye indicated that the government cannot use the security services to intimidate the opposition.

According to him, they will continue to be critical of the government regardless of the intimidation they will take them through.

“You cannot prevent us from talking. If you arrest me, I will be in there for just a few days, and I will be back to talk some more,” he said.

Dennis Miracles Abiagye noted that the actions of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in just seven months in power have vindicated Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

He urged the government to do what is right to make the country better else they will continue to be critical.
