Your fight for women empowerment was inspirational—Samira Bawumia eulogizes late Nana Kondu

Former Second Lady Samira Bawumia has eulogized the late former first lady in a post shared via social media.
According to her, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings will be fondly missed for her inspirational fight for women in Ghana.
To Samira Bawumia, the death of the former first lady is unfortunate.
Her post eulogizing late Mrs Rawlings said “I’m deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate passing of Her Excellency Mrs Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, Former First Lady of Ghana and Founder of the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Mrs Rawlings was an inspirational figure who fiercely championed Women Empowerment in Ghana. She will be fondly missed.
May God grant her a peaceful rest and strengthen her children and the entire family.”
Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings died on October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital after suffering a short illness.
Her death comes as a shock to many Ghanaians who did not hear about her ill health.
