You’re better than Beyoncé – CAF President Motseppe hails Ghanaian dancer Afronita

Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr Patrice Motsepe has publicly acclaimed Ghanaian dance prodigy Afronita, born Danita Akosua Adomaah Yeboah, as an extraordinary talent, drawing remarkable comparisons to global icon Beyoncé.

The commendation occurred during the CAF Executive Committee meeting preceding the African Schools Football Championship finals, where Dr Motsepe witnessed Afronita’s captivating performance with her Afrostar Kids Academy at the University of Ghana Stadium.

In a viral video from the event, the CAF president expressed his intent to facilitate an introduction to Beyoncé’s camp, leveraging his personal connections.

Who is Afronita?

Born on November 30, 2003, Afronitaaa has been a prominent figure in the dance scene, known for her unique Afropop style that fuses traditional African moves with global dance trends.

She has been a professional dancer since age 14; she is also the founder of Afrostar Kids Academy, a dance school dedicated to nurturing young talents in Ghana and beyond.

In addition to her flourishing dance career, Afronitaaa is a Bachelor of Science in Administration student at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Her impressive portfolio includes collaborations with artists and brands from Ghana, the UK, France, Dubai, Nigeria, Barbados, and Tanzania.

Afronita gained international recognition alongside dance partner Abigail during their electrifying performance on Britain’s Got Talent, where they showcased a fusion of traditional Ghanaian dance and contemporary choreography.

A former member of DWP Academy, Afronita has since established her own dance academy, transitioning into mentorship while continuing to elevate African dance on the global stage.
