Youth are leading today – Naana inspires first Adwumawura cohort

Vice-President Naana Opoku-Agyemang has challenged Ghana’s youth to seize the opportunities presented by the Adwumawura Programme, describing them as today’s leaders of innovation and enterprise.

Addressing beneficiaries during the onboarding session at the University of Ghana, she reminded the 10,000 selected entrepreneurs of their responsibility to set the standard for future cohorts.

“Ghanaian youth are not waiting for tomorrow; they are leading today,” she declared.

Launched in April 2025, the Adwumawura Programme is redefining entrepreneurship by providing more than funding.

It seeks to cultivate values such as honesty, resilience, focus, and discipline among young entrepreneurs, ensuring that their ventures thrive sustainably.

The Vice-President emphasized that while government, trainers, and partners are playing their part, ultimate success rests on the determination and ethics of the beneficiaries.

“While this opportunity offers support, the responsibility to succeed lies in their commitment and ethics,” she cautioned.
