Zongo Polling stations: Bryan Acheampong exposed

Krobea Kwabena Asante, a former presidential staffer under the Akufo-Addo–Bawumia administration, has refued claims by presidential hopeful Bryan Acheampong that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia only secured votes in Efutu Zongo, releasing polling station data he says directly contradicts that assertion.

In a brief intervention accompanying the figures, Krobea said the numbers already available undermine the narrative being put out by the Abetifi MP.

“I disagree with the assertion made by Bryan Acheampong that Dr Bawumia only won Efutu Zongo. This preliminary rebuttal aims to counter his statement, with comprehensive data to follow. The initial information already contradicts the misinformation,” he stated.

The data shared shows vote tallies from multiple polling stations across Ashanti, Eastern, Central, Bono East and Ahafo regions, with Dr Bawumia recording notable votes in communities such as Bantama, Manhyia South, Tanoso North, Atwima East, Denkyira, Old Tafo and parts of Akropong, among others. In several of these locations, the figures indicate competitive performances rather than an isolated showing in a single Zongo enclave.

Krobea framed the release as an early factual response rather than a full statistical breakdown, insisting that even the preliminary results challenge the suggestion that Bawumia’s support was narrowly confined.

He added that more detailed data would be presented to further address what he described as an inaccurate public claim. See below;
