Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang consoles families of deceased soldiers

Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has expressed the nation’s grief over the loss of four military personnel, assuring their families of full state support.
Speaking after joining President John Dramani Mahama and other government officials at the office of the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General William Agyapong, the Vice President said the meeting was to personally convey condolences to the bereaved families of Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Squadron Leader Peter Anala, Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, and Flying Officer Twum Ampadu.
“On behalf of the nation, we extended our deepest condolences to the families, and assured them of our support in this difficult time,” she said.
“We also signed the book of condolences in honour of our fallen compatriots.”

She announced that a state funeral will be held on Friday at the Black Star Square to give the officers a dignified and befitting farewell.
