We’ve stolen more than the IMF gives us — KSM demands action from Mahama

Outspoken TV personality Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has urged President John Mahama to go beyond economic achievements and focus on recovering stolen state funds.

KSM said while Ghanaians appreciate the government’s early progress, the real test lies in fighting corruption decisively.

“Your Excellency, the one thing Ghanaians are still looking for is action, recover the stolen money and punish those who took it,” he said on the KSM show monitored by MyNewsGh.

“We’ve stolen more money than what the IMF gives us.”

KSM cited data suggesting that Ghana could recover over $21 billion if the government successfully retrieves funds from just 36 high-profile corruption cases.

He argued that visible accountability will restore public confidence; “When you stop the rain from the top, it stops drizzling at the bottom. If you hold the big men accountable, the small men will fall in line.”

The veteran host urged the President to use the NDC’s overwhelming parliamentary majority to enact strict measures.

“Never in the history of this country has a government had such power. Use it to deal with corruption, not to protect it.”
