Kufour wants past Chairmen to steer the affairs of NPP in Stephen Ntim’s absence

Ghana’s former president and an elder in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Agyekum Kufour is pushing for past Chairmen of the party to take over the administration of the party.
This he believes will help steer the affairs of the party which looks as if has no leader considering recent happenings.
Kufour is said to have made this suggestion during the party’s National Council meeting some weeks ago.
Dr Richard Anane who made this public was speaking on Kumasi-based Abusua FM.
“The former president said the bottom-to-top approach was not good and that since the party does not have an effective chairman, past chairmen must be put together to see to the running of the political party.
Abronye reacted that he does not understand why the former president will make such a suggestion. The acting Chairman apologised to Kufour and said they will look into the issues and get back to him,” he disclosed.
He, however, disclosed that the former president’s position was opposed by Abronye who displayed some level of insubordination.
