Blakk Rasta slams NDC member over claims of unrewarded contributions

Blakk Rasta has fired shots at an NDC member who claimed he was neglected despite donating money and resources to the party’s success.

The musician and broadcaster was reacting to comments made by a member of the NDC Youth Committee, Bernard Oduro Nyarko, also known as B.O.N.

Oduro Nyarko recently expressed his disappointment that President John Mahama had not appointed him, despite his financial contributions.

“I donated thousands of cedis to President Mahama. I also distributed thousands of T-shirts. I visited constituencies multiple times. The results are showing, yet I have not been given any appointment,” he reportedly said.

Blakk Rasta found this statement absurd and called out the mindset of those who believe money guarantees political positions.

“People like this are the nation wreckers. These are the people with no common sense. They think that money is equivalent to brains. Like Kennedy Agyapong, they think money is equivalent to common sense. Once you have money, then you have common sense?”

He warned against allowing financial backers to dictate political appointments.

“People like this should never be allowed to donate anything to anybody. They are not donating; they are investing into a ridiculous, illegal, nonsensical project. Their common sense is smaller than an amoeba.”

Blakk Rasta noted that Mahama’s return to power presents an opportunity for him to govern differently.

“President Mahama is here to leave a legacy. He is here in his third attempt at being president. A president is not just a man who wins an election and sits on the throne. A president is supposed to be an achiever.”

He urged Mahama to remain firm in his appointments and not be influenced by party loyalists seeking rewards.

“In this one, he campaigned right from opposition, went straight up to winning single-handedly. He is supposed to be a man of his own without all the other guys pressuring him or trying to influence him. This is his opportunity to rewrite the political history of this country.”
