Partey to appear in court on August 5 over rape charges

Ghana Black Stars midfielder, Thomas Partey is expected to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Tuesday, 5th August, over rape charges leveled against him.
Reports indicate that the former Arsenal has been charged with two counts of rape relate to one woman, while three counts of rape relate to a second woman. The alleged sexual assault was related to a third woman.
The offences are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, the Metropolitan Police said.
The charges according to reports follow an investigation by detectives, which commenced in February 2022 after police first received a report of rape.
Thomas Partey has left Arsenal after joining the North London Football Club from Atletico Madrid.
It is not clear where the midfielder is headed currently; however, there are talks that he has received offers from top European clubs.
